JABU Logistics launched its first Clean-Up Campaign at One Nation, Ombili in Windhoek

Windhoek, Namibia, April – On Thursday, 15 April 2022, JABU Logistics launched its first Clean-Up Campaign in Ombili, Windhoek. The Campaign, aimed at giving back to the community, saw JABU Logistics employees taking to the streets of Ombili to collect and dispose of garbage in the area. JABU Marketing Coordinator Petelina Frans explained that the purpose of the campaign is to give back to the communities in which JABU operates. “JABU has received an overwhelming amount of support from communities in Windhoek. This campaign is but one way to show how grateful we are for their continued support,” she said. “At JABU we pride ourselves in growing our communities. Through our services, we have been able to help shop owners grow their businesses, however, we have also contributed to the waste produced in these communities. It is therefore important that we invest in taking care of these communities in a sustainable manner,” she added.

Members of the community could be seen joining the campaign, assisting and thanking JABU for taking initiative. Speaking on behalf of the community, Ndeshi Kaxuxuena, a representative of the Tobias Hainyeko constituency welcomed the JABU team and said it was great to see JABU getting involved in the community and expressed her excitement to support the next initiative. “It’s great to see JABU get involved in the community. We are looking forward to supporting JABU and joining the team next time they visit!”

In total, the JABU team collected and disposed of over 50 bags of garbage. The next installment of the campaign will look to involve members of the community and expand to other areas of Windhoek.
