Standard Bank Namibia Congratulates JABU on Winning AfricArena Start-Up of the Year 2021 Award

Windhoek, Namibia, November – In a letter addressed to JABU Logistics Founder and CEO David Akinin, Standard Bank Namibia Chief Executive Mercia Geises congratulated Akinin and the JABU team on winning the AfricArena Start-Up of the Year Award. JABU was awarded the Start-Up of the Year 2021 Award after taking part in the annual AfricArena Summit which took place in Cape Town, South Africa on 16 – 17 November 2021.

“We have witnessed the young company grow into a significant player in the informal market of Namibia in a matter of months. The hard work and dedication [exhibited] by your team is remarkable,” said the Chief Executive. She further commended JABU on empowering small businesses and ultimately providing food and job security and improving the quality of life for Namibians especially considering how unprecedented the past two years have been.
